1998 Ford Explorer Overview

This is a 1998 Ford Explorer XLT with 68,000 Original Miles. She has every option you could imagine for a 1998 Vehicle. Power Window, Power Seat, Cold AC, Rear AC Also!, Premium Sound System, Cruise Control and all of it works! She is not perfect on the outside - she shows her age with some scrapes, dings and dents - but she is immaculate mechanically. She recently had her oil changed and is ready to take and protect you and your family as you roll down the road. 

We are asking $6500.00 for her. (WE'VE DROPPED THE PRICE TO $5500.00) That is a high price for a 1998 Ford Explorer - but most of the 1998 Ford Explorers have well over 150,000 miles and them - some with as many as 200,000. This 1998 Ford Explorer has only 68,000 miles and if treated well, she could give you 100,000 more miles with years to come.

1998 Ford Explorer - Dash Cluster

As you can see, this 1998 Ford Explorer has 68,000 Original Miles. There are no "Service" lights on. It has a Four Wheel Drive Option, either High or Low. Everything works as it should. It runs well and we have not found any reason we cannot recommend this Ford Explorer to you. Truly, I believe if treated right, there are another 100,000 miles left on this Explorer.

1998 Ford Explorer Exterior

The Exterior is not perfect. There are some scrapes, scratches and dings along the exterior. We chose not to repair these as to keep the price of the Explorer low. We did replace the Windshield.

Additionally, it does have 2 key Fobs with the Keyless Entry and it has a Coded Entry on the Drivers Door. (Yes we have the code and it is functional)

1998 Ford Explorer Interior

The Interior has every option you could want. The Leather Seats show wear, but there are no significant tears in them. The Drivers seat is electric adjustable. We steamed cleaned the carpets and detailed the seats so that they look as close to new as we could get them.

The Rear AC Works Great!

The Rear Hatch works great! The carpet in the back cleaned very well, but the protective cover for the carpet didn't clean so well. There are still stains we could not get out.

The AC Blows Cold, and with the Rear AC your passengers will always have control.  The Sound System is original: A Mult-CD Player coupled with a Cassette player. The indicators on the radio do not work, so you have to scan to find your radio station. We did not check out the cassette of CD Player, but assume it is functioning. The Cruise Control, Electric Windows all work as they should.

1998 Ford Explorer Tires

The tires are a matching set with good tread left on them. The Rims are filled with Road Rash - we cleaned, polished them as much as we could.

1998 Ford Explorer Engine

This Ford Explorer Engine is the 4.0 - 6 Cylinder Engine. The Oil has been recently changed and as you can see, the engine bay is clean and she runs well!
